social networking from home in our pajamas without human contact

As I write this, I am suffering from a head cold, and am having some trouble putting sentences together. Maybe I should lie down. But before I do that:

I have, semi-recently, signed up for both Facebook and Twitter. I wonder why I think I have time to do any of this. Oh well.

I suppose I could write paragraphs on what I think about Facebook and how it works and how I thought I had left certain high school ethical dilemmas in high school, but alas, I have neither the time nor the inclination to write those paragraphs. The one thing I would like to say unfortunately sounds kind of mean: If I don’t know you, I won’t accept your friend request. On the other hand, if I don’t know you, I won’t request your friendship.

As for Twitter–Please notice my previous two posts to this blog. They are both tweets from my Twitter account. I have changed the settings of that particular plugin so that my daily Tweets will be aggregated and posted all at once (instead of one post for every tweet). There’s also a link to my Twitter account over there in the right sidebar under the heading “Personal Links.”

Now we can all be connected all the time and know everything about everyone always. Won’t it be great?

How long before I create an avatar on Second Life?
